Description

The Lions Club of Colombo Continental Excellence conducted the “Monthly Diabetic and Medical Clinic for Elders – Weraliyadda Grama Niladhari Division” on 14th July 2025 at the Weraliyadda Grama Niladhari Office. A total of 10 elders, primarily from low-income households in the area, benefited from free medical check-ups, diabetic screening, and health consultations aimed at improving their well-being and promoting preventive healthcare practices. The project was led by Project Chairperson Lion Bahar Nayan and coordinated by Lion Lady Dr. Fakeeha Nooman, with full financial support from Lion Bahar Nayan amounting to LKR 20,000. The activity contributed 8 Lion Hours towards the club’s service record. This initiative reflects the Lions’ continued commitment to serving the health needs of elders, ensuring better access to medical services, and raising awareness on the importance of regular health monitoring.
