Welfare Initiative During the Sumana Saman Devale Maha Perahera For the 7th consecutive year, a welfare program initiated by the late Lion Melvin John Namadhari Sinha Nandasena Peramuna Arachchi and his family was conducted under the patronage of Mr. Bathiya Nandasena Sinha during the 3rd, 4th, and 5th days of the Maha Perahera. Refreshments of cold drinks and snacks were distributed to dance groups, elephant herders, and minor workers, providing relief to nearly 3,000(3000*75=225000)07.09.2025
