Sisters of Providence – “Talitha Cum”, St. Anne’s Convent, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte.
On July 16th, 2025, as part of the 5th Anniversary celebrations of the Lions Club, members distributed essential items including bed sheets, towels, and dry rations to the 13 resident cancer patients and 18 Sisters and staff members at Sisters of Providence – “Talitha Cum”, St. Anne’s Convent, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte.
This project was highly meaningful, as it supported the daily needs of patients who have no homes and are compassionately cared for by the Sisters until the end of their lives. The Sisters also assist the patients in receiving treatment at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, and expressed deep appreciation for the club’s generosity.
A total of 15 members participated in the project, contributing 15 Lion hours, with the total project value amounting to Rs. 45,000/=.
