The Lions Club of Colombo Ceylon Legends successfully carried out the humanitarian project Against The Governor Saman Devala Arrival “Donate the Wheel Chair” on 13th September 2025 at Homagama. Under the leadership of Project Chairperson Lion Prabash Thilakaratne, the club donated a wheelchair valued at LKR 55,000 to an individual in need, aiming to improve mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
The event was graced by the presence of District Governor Lion Gaya Upasena as the Chief Guest, along with distinguished guests including the Cabinet Secretary, Cabinet Treasurer, Region Chairperson, and Zone Chairperson.
This initiative falls under the Lions’ Service Area of Disaster Relief & Humanitarian Assistance and highlights the club’s continuous commitment to extending compassionate support to the community. Though the project directly served one person, its impact is far-reaching, as it uplifts the entire family and community around the beneficiary.
