Religious donation to Indala Purana Vihara
On July 26, 2025, Lion Lady Sewwandi Tennakoon of the Ratnapura Lions Club made a significant religious contribution to the order. She ceremoniously donated a 95-year-old traditional ring, originally dedicated to the order by her late father and late grandfather, to the Indala Purana Vihara.
In addition to this historic offering, she also donated 02 acres of land to be handed over as a Sangha property, ensuring long-term benefits for the Buddhist clergy and the temple.
This noble act stands as a testament to her deep respect for her family’s religious heritage and her dedication to protecting and strengthening the order.
