Provision of Travel Season Tickets for Disadvantaged Students
On 01 August 2025, under the patronage of Lion Gaya Upasena – District Governor, the Ratnapura Lions Club sponsored the provision of 12-month travel season tickets for 24 underprivileged students of the Ratnapura Dharmashala Pirivena.
This initiative, amounting to Rs. 120,000 (Rs. 10,000 × 12 months), was made possible through the generous support of 12 sponsoring members.
August sponsorship was contributed by Lion Dasun Bandara.
September sponsorship was contributed by Lion Chanda Mahanama, Cabinet Secretary of District 306 D7.
