Provision of Travel Season Tickets for Students
On 19th September 2025, the Ratnapura Lions Club extended its support to 24 underprivileged students of the Dharmashala Pirivena by sponsoring their monthly travel season tickets for a period of 12 months.
This initiative, amounting to a total cost of Rs. 120,000.00 (Rs. 10,000 × 12 months), was made possible through the generous contributions of 12 sponsoring presidents.
The sponsorship for the month of September was graciously provided by Lion Chanda Mahanama, Cabinet Secretary, fulfilling the role of the sponsoring president for the month.
