The Lions Club of Maharagama Golden City successfully organized a Mega Eye Screening Camp on 7th August 2025 at Lunugamwehera Village, under the leadership of Project Chairpersons Lion lady irosha Edirisinghe and Lion Niwantha Kosgoda.
This impactful Vision Service Project served 220 beneficiaries, providing them with comprehensive eye check-ups to detect vision problems and raise awareness about eye health. To ensure the comfort and well-being of both participants and medical staff, the club extended full hospitality by providing breakfast for all attendees, as well as breakfast and lunch meals with evening tea for the hospital staff. Transportation facilities were also arranged.
The total project value amounted to Rs. 128,700, reflecting the Lions’ dedication to serving the community.
The event was graced by Region Advisor Lion Nimal Premananda as the Chief Guest, along with the participation of Lions Club members who supported the project wholeheartedly.
This initiative not only brought much-needed healthcare services to the village but also embodied the Lions’ mission of restoring vision and improving lives.
