Description

The Lions Club of Maharagama Golden City, under the chairmanship of Lion Pradeep Sandaruwan, successfully carried out a meaningful service project on 1st July 2025 at the Boralesgamuwa Post Office premises. With the primary focus on the Hunger Relief Service Area, the project aimed to extend compassion and support to those in need. Through this initiative, 150 individuals were provided with freshly prepared meals, bringing warmth, nourishment, and hope to their lives. A total of Rs. 45,000 was allocated for food expenses, reflecting the club’s commitment to ensuring that no one goes hungry. The occasion was further honored by the presence of District Governor Lion Gaya Upasena as the Chief Guest, whose participation added great encouragement and inspiration to the project team. This initiative not only alleviated immediate hunger but also reaffirmed the Lions’ dedication to serving the community with kindness and humanity.
