Introduction
In line with the vision of promoting an eco-friendly environment, the District Governor led by example by planting a sapling in his own home garden. This symbolic act was intended to motivate fellow Lions to actively contribute to environmental conservation.
Activity
The District Governor’s initiative created enthusiasm among members, encouraging them to follow his footsteps. As a gesture of support and commitment, Lion Pamal Ruwansiri of the Ratnapura Lions Club planted a honey tamarind sapling. His participation added significance to the program and highlighted the collective responsibility towards preserving nature.

Future Plans
The Club intends to continue similar environmental projects, focusing on planting more eco-friendly trees in schools, public places, and members’ gardens to ensure long-term environmental benefits
