Multi-Service Project Report Date: 25 August 2025 Venue: Malwala Sarana Shalawa Organized by: Ratnapura Lions Club Leadership: Past District Governor Lion Bennet Gamalath Participation: District 306D7 Secretary Lion Mahanama Sponsorship: Lion Lalith Abeysinghe The Ratnapura Lions Club successfully conducted a comprehensive Multi-Service Project at Malwala Sarana Shalawa. The program addressed diverse community needs under one initiative and was carried out with the support and participation of Lions leaders and members. Key Activities: 1. Distribution of nutrition packs for pregnant mothers 2. Distribution of plants 3. Removal of harmful trees 4. Conducting legal marriages for married and unmarried couples 5. Entertainment programs 6. Initiation of cake-making and tailoring courses 7. Awareness on child safety for preschool and school children 8. Donation of wheelchairs for persons with disabilities 9. Street lamp restoration 10. Eye check-ups 11. Cholesterol check-ups 12. Blood sugar tests 13. Dental check-ups 14. Screening for skin diseases 15. Screening for social diseases 16. Ayurvedic consultations 17. Issuance of birth certificates 18. Issuance of identity cards 19. Providing legal advice 20.A bridal dressing training workshop was successfully conducted. 21. Renovation of the cemetery and cleaning of both sides of the road in collaboration with the Ratnapura Pradeshiya Sabha This impactful initiative contributed significantly to community welfare and showcased the true spirit of Lionism through service.
