As part of the Environmental Week of District 306 D7, the Lions Club of Colombo Continental Excellence proudly implemented the “Green Blessings – Distributing Plants” project on 6th July 2025 at the serene Pillewa Temple.
During the project, a total of 30 fruit-bearing plants, including Pomegranate and Soursop, were distributed among the community. This initiative was designed to promote sustainability, environmental stewardship, and greater community participation by encouraging the planting of trees that provide both ecological and nutritional benefits.
The event was graced by the District Governor and the First Lady, whose presence and active involvement as Chief Guests highlighted the significance of this meaningful undertaking.
This project stands as a notable demonstration of our club’s commitment to safeguarding the environment, inspiring greener lifestyles, and serving communities in alignment with the global vision of Lions International.
