On 2 August 2025, the Lions Club of Colombo Continental Excellence organised a tree-planting drive at Kuruwita, during which 100 Kahanda trees were planted to enhance local green cover and improve air quality. The project was fully funded by Lion Aruna Kankanamge, Zone Chairperson — Zone 01, Region 01, and executed with the active participation of club members and local volunteers. This initiative reflects our club’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, community engagement, and sustainable development.
