The Lions Club of Maharagama Golden City organized a special service project titled Commitment to Alleviate Hunger on 1st September 2025 at the Boralesgamuwa Post Office. Under the leadership of Project Chairpersons Lion S.M. Pradeep Sandaruwan and graced by the presence of Chief Guest, Region Chairperson Lion Jayatissa Hettiarchchi, the club carried out this meaningful initiative focused on hunger alleviation. As part of the project, essential food reserve packs were distributed to 225 beneficiaries, bringing relief and nourishment to those in need. This humanitarian effort, carried out under the Service Area of Hunger Alleviation, was valued at Rs. 210,000, demonstrating the Lions’ continued dedication to serving the community and uplifting lives through compassion and generosity.
