Description

A beach cleaning and environmental awareness project from Dehiwala to Mount Lavinia in conjunction with World Cleanup Day We were organized by the Lions Club District 306 D7 Maharagama Central Eminence Force led by the Project Chairman Treasure Mario Joseph. With the active participation of our Lions Club members, the Dehiwala Community Police OIC and team, PHI and Meepa organization, Dehiwala Municipal Council employees joined the beach cleaning and tree planting project and helped us complete the project very successfully. Also, District Governor Gaya Upasena, Colombo Supreme Lions Club Asanka and several other Lions joined us. Providing breakfast and lunch & Water Bottles to Lions members and everyone else who participated in the project. Planting trees for coastal protection Providing a daily wage to workers who participated in the cleanup project
