Eye Camp Report – 20th July 2025
An eye camp was successfully held on 20th July 2025 at Sunethrarama Temple, Ethul Kotte, under the leadership of Chairperson Lion Thushara Herath. During the camp, a total of 567 patients received eye care services. Among them, 104 were identified as cataract patients, while 155 received special glasses and 308 were provided with reading glasses.
The patients who were screened were later taken to Ratnapura Nethsetha Hospital for necessary measurements. Then, they were transported again to the hospital on the scheduled date of operation. Both transportation and meals for these patients were provided free of charge, ensuring their comfort and convenience throughout the process.
The total cost incurrred for the project was Rs.1,365,000/=.
This program contributed immensely to the ongoing effort of improving community eye health and providing accessible vision care services.
