On Esala Poya Day, 10th July 2025, the Lions Club of Homagama Supreme organized a grand Bath Dansala (Food Donation Project) at the Mawathgama School Ground Premises, under the dedicated leadership of Project Chairman Lion Sriyan Salinda Narasinghaarachchi. The project was carried out over two consecutive days — 10th and 11th July 2025 — providing free meals to the public continuously from 10:00 AM until midnight.
This large-scale humanitarian initiative reflected the Lions’ unwavering spirit of service and compassion. Through this meritorious effort, the club successfully served over 15,000 people, offering nourishment and support to individuals from all walks of life. The event was graced by Past President Lion Rohitha Wijesinghe as the Chief Guest, whose presence added great prestige to the occasion.
With an estimated project value of LKR 5,600,000.00, the initiative was powered by the dedication and collective effort of club members who contributed an impressive 7200 Lion Hours. A total of 15,000 meals were prepared and distributed, making this project one of the most impactful food donation initiatives by the club in recent years. Through this noble endeavor, the Lions Club of Homagama Supreme once again demonstrated its commitment to uplifting lives, spreading kindness, and fostering community solidarity.
