The Lions Club of Homagama Supreme organized a Self-Employment Support Project on 13th August 2025 at the Panagoda Temple Burg Industrial Zone, under the service area of Disaster Relief and Humanitarian Assistance and the sub-category of Entrepreneur Development and Self-Employment. The initiative was skillfully led by Project Chairman Lion Malinda Karangoda, with the objective of empowering individuals to achieve economic stability and self-reliance through sustainable livelihood opportunities.
A total of 12 beneficiaries received guidance and assistance to strengthen their entrepreneurial pursuits, enabling them to enhance their income-generating capabilities and improve their overall quality of life. The project served as a meaningful contribution to post-crisis recovery and community upliftment, helping individuals rebuild their confidence and independence.
This impactful initiative recorded 192 Lion hours, served 12 people, and carried a project value of LKR 50,000.00. The program reflects the Lions Club of Homagama Supreme’s steadfast commitment to humanitarian service, promoting self-sufficiency, dignity, and resilience among community members.
