The Lions Club of Homagama Supreme organized Project Healing Plates, a compassionate initiative that served strength and kindness from sunrise to sunset. This heartfelt project was dedicated to providing wholesome meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — to 120 patients at the Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama. More than just a food distribution effort, it embodied a message of care, compassion, and emotional support for those courageously navigating their healing journey.
Under the devoted leadership of Project Chairman Lion Sriyan Salinda Narasinghaarachchi, the project was meticulously planned and executed, ensuring that each meal brought comfort, warmth, and hope to the patients. The initiative reflected the Lions’ belief that nourishment offered with love has the power to uplift spirits, ease pain, and inspire strength from morning until night.
The project recorded a total of 1,200 Lion hours, served 120 individuals, and carried a project value of LKR 415,000.00. Project Healing Plates stands as a shining example of the Lions Club of Homagama Supreme’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian service, spreading light, love, and compassion where it is needed most.
