The Lions Club of Homagama Supreme successfully organized a Leadership Training Program from 17th to 19th October 2025, with the primary goal of enhancing the leadership qualities, communication skills, and team spirit of young participants. The program officially commenced with an inauguration ceremony held on 10th October 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Shri Rahul Maha Vidyalaya, Thelawala, Moratuwa, graced by Cabinet Secretary of Lions International District 306 D7, Lion Mahanama Illeperuma MJF MAF MBA, as the Chief Guest.
The project was meticulously organized and coordinated under the capable leadership of Project Chairman Lion Kapila Sri Ariyaratne, ensuring a well-structured and impactful series of sessions. Throughout the three days, participants actively took part in motivational discussions, interactive leadership activities, and practical exercises aimed at developing confidence, discipline, decision-making, and teamwork—key attributes of effective leadership.
A total of 4,320 Lion hours were recorded, serving 60 students (up to Grade 6), with a project value of LKR 500,000.00. The program concluded on a highly inspiring note, leaving participants motivated, confident, and better equipped to take on leadership roles within their schools and communities.
This initiative stands as a remarkable contribution by the Lions Club of Homagama Supreme in shaping the next generation of young, responsible, and visionary leaders.
