The Lions Club of Homagama Supreme proudly organized the “Mind Matters – Online Mental Health and Well-being Awareness Program”, held from 7th October to 12th October 2025, in conjunction with World Mental Health Day and the Lions International Project Week for Mental Health and Well-being. The initiative was conducted under the dedicated leadership of Project Chairman Lion Sriyan Salinda Narasinghaarachchi.
This meaningful online campaign was designed to promote mental wellness, emotional resilience, and self-care awareness among individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Through a series of interactive online sessions, discussions, and motivational talks, the program offered valuable insights into managing stress, building emotional strength, and maintaining psychological balance in everyday life.
Participants were guided by experienced speakers who shared practical tools and techniques to cultivate mindfulness, positive thinking, and a healthy lifestyle. The sessions emphasized the message that mental health is equally as important as physical health, inspiring many to prioritize their emotional well-being.
The project successfully brought together Lions, Leo Lions, Leos, and individuals from around the world who seek mental peace, uniting them in a collective effort to spread the powerful message — “Your mental health matters.”
This impactful initiative recorded a total of 24,000 Lion Hours, served participants globally, and was valued at LKR 10,000.00. It stands as a remarkable contribution by the Lions Club of Homagama Supreme toward fostering a healthier, more compassionate, and mentally resilient global community.
