Description – District 7 Service Carnival and Lions Get-Together
The District 7 Service Carnival and Lions Get-Together was held on 25th October 2025 at the Municipal Council Grounds, Nuwara Eliya, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event combined fellowship and community service, bringing together Lions and Lion Ladies from across the district in the true spirit of Lionism.
As part of the service initiative, the Lion Ladies Association of District 7 organized a generous donation drive, distributing clothes and dry rations to 250 underprivileged families in the Nuwara Eliya area.
The Lions Club of Udahamulla also made a significant contribution through its members:
• Lion Anoja donated 100 soaps, 100 toothbrushes, and 100 toothpastes valued at approximately Rs. 50,000.
• Lion Sagarika donated 50 used sarees worth around Rs. 25,000.
• Lion Tharaka donated 10 packs of 5kg rice, along with used and new clothes and school bags, worth rs 25000/-and Lion kanthi donated 7 sarees worth rs 10000/-contributing to the success of the project.
The event continued into the evening with the Lions Get-Together, featuring fellowship, entertainment, and refreshments for all participants. It was a day filled with service, unity, and joy — truly reflecting the motto “We Serve.”
