Leo Lions Club of Colombo Uptown Eminence successfully conducted a Beach Cleanup Project on 20th September 2025, from 10.00 a.m. onwards at Wellawatta Beach. The project was organized with the objective of promoting environmental sustainability and raising awareness about coastal pollution.
Members of the club actively participated in cleaning and collecting waste materials along the shoreline, contributing to restoring the natural beauty of the beach while encouraging responsible waste management among the public. The initiative aimed to inspire collective action toward protecting marine ecosystems and preserving Sri Lanka’s coastal environment for future generations.
Through this project, the club reaffirmed its commitment to environmental conservation, aligning with the Leo spirit to Lead, Serve, and Uplift through meaningful community service.
