A community health camp was conducted on 11 October 2025 at Pugoda Bodhiraja College, organized by the Lions Club of Padukka–Siyanepura. The program aimed to provide accessible primary healthcare services to residents of Pugoda and surrounding areas, including Owitigama, Nikawla, Dhathamulla, Lunugama, Kapugoda, Giridara, Malinda, Dompe, and nearby villages.
The camp offered a wide range of services such as Western and Ayurvedic medical consultations, dental care, eye examinations, women’s wellness (Suwanari) services, and essential blood tests (fasting sugar, cholesterol, creatinine). Vision problems were identified, and cataract patients were referred to government hospitals. Additionally, spectacles were provided, and health education was delivered to improve community awareness.
