Project Hope in Every Pack – Flood Relief Meal Distribution was successfully conducted on 29th November 2025, from 12.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m., as a timely humanitarian response to support communities affected by severe flooding in the Kaduwela area. The project was organized by the Lions Club of Homagama Supreme with the objective of providing immediate food relief to individuals and families struggling due to flood-related hardships.
The program involved the distribution of donated cooked meals and food parcels, ensuring that essential nutritional needs were met during this critical period. The meals were prepared and coordinated with the support of American Caterers Pvt Ltd, which also served as the venue for organizing and dispatching the food supplies. A total of 150 flood-affected individuals were targeted and successfully served through this initiative. The project focused on reaching those most in need, including displaced families and individuals facing difficulties in accessing regular meals due to the floods.
The project was carried out with the active participation of 10 members of the Lions Club of Homagama Supreme, whose dedication and teamwork ensured the smooth planning, packing, transportation, and distribution of food items. The total project budget amounted to LKR 120,000.00, which was utilized efficiently for food preparation and distribution activities.
Lion Rohitha Wijesinghe served as the Project Chairman, providing leadership and coordination throughout the project. Project Nourish reflects the Lions Club of Homagama Supreme’s continued commitment to humanitarian service, compassion and community support during times of crisis.
