Under the coordination of Lion Lady Padmini Walakuluarachchi, a special humanitarian service project was organized in Madabaddara, Ayagama area, to provide medical camps for flood victims, along with medical assistance and spectacles for 200 selected disaster-affected families.
A generous financial contribution of LKR 300,000 was received from the Plenty Valley Lions Club, Melbourne, Australia, to support this meaningful initiative. Medical examinations were conducted with the active participation of doctors from Kalawana Hospital, ensuring professional and quality healthcare services for the beneficiaries. Essential medicines were provided, and spectacles were distributed to individuals suffering from vision impairments.
The program was successfully conducted on 10th December, making a significant positive impact on the lives of flood-affected families by improving their health and overall well-being. This project strongly reflected the spirit of international Lions fellowship, compassion, generosity, and commitment to community service.
