A community service project was carried out to support the educational needs and overall well-being of the children of Liyanakanda School by providing essential learning materials and basic necessities. As part of this initiative, books, school shoes, school bags, and solar lights were distributed to students in need.
The provision of books and school supplies helped strengthen students’ learning experiences, while shoes and bags supported their daily school activities. The distribution of solar lights was especially beneficial for students from households with limited or unreliable electricity, enabling them to study safely and comfortably during the evening hours.
This meaningful project contributed to improving educational access, encouraging regular school attendance, and enhancing the quality of life of the children. The initiative reflected the Lions Club’s dedication to education, child welfare, and community development through compassionate service.
