Project Report
Sapumalthanna Aranya (Temple), Nika Wewa, Weli Oya
A religious and social service project was successfully conducted at Sapumalthanna Aranya Temple, Nika Wewa, Weli Oya on 10th January 2026.
As part of the programme, Dawal Daanaya (midday alms) was offered to 19 Buddhist monks. In addition, Pirikara items were donated, including medicines, torches, toiletries, and brooms, to support the daily needs of the temple.
Support was also extended to the Dhamma School students, where books, water bottles, and fabric for school uniforms were distributed for 50 children.Furthermore, sarongs and fabric were provided to 50 parents. Breakfast was also served to all participants.
The total cost of the project was Rs. 65,000/-.
The project was organized under the leadership of the Project Chairperson, Lion Anoja Gooneratne, with the objective of promoting religious values, education, and community welfare.
