Flood Relief Humanitarian Assistance Project
Lions Club of Ratnapura,
On 18 December 2025, members of the Lions Club of Ratnapura Lion Sanjaya Silva MJF, Lion Chanaka Silva MJF, Lion Dimuth Sanjaya, Lion Gayan Sanjaya, and Lion Chathura Buddhika — jointly carried out a flood relief humanitarian assistance programme for families displaced by floods in the Gampola and Matale areas of the Kandy District.
Under this initiative, essential relief items valued at approximately Rs. 29 lakhs were distributed to meet the urgent needs of the affected communities.
Relief Items Distributed:
Baby Diapers: 32 pcs × 100 packs – Rs. 275,000/-
Eva Sanitary Packets: 1,425 pcs – Rs. 413,250/-
Adult Diapers: 8 pcs × 10 packs – Rs. 27,500/-
Ladies’ Underwear: 1,700 pcs – Rs. 323,000/-
Gents’ Underwear: 1,000 pcs – Rs. 300,000/-
Rice: 2,750 kg – Rs. 682,500/-
Soya Meat: 4,000 packs – Rs. 280,000/-
T-Shirts: 200+ pcs – Rs. 300,000/-
Family Clothing Packs: 20 packs – Rs. 60,000/-
Chocolates & Tipitips: 100 packs – Rs. 10,000/-
Water Bottles (1L): 500 bottles – Rs. 50,000/-
Transport Cost: Rs. 150,000/-
