The Lions Club of Colombo Ceylon Legends successfully organized and arranged evening meals for the residents of the Borella Elders’ Home in observance of the sacred Poya Day.
This humanitarian project was carried out with the intention of honoring Buddhist values of compassion, generosity, and loving-kindness, while providing nutritious and timely meals to elderly residents who require care and support.
The project members actively participated in planning, preparation, and distribution of the meals, ensuring dignity, respect, and warmth toward the elders. The initiative not only fulfilled a physical need but also offered emotional comfort and a sense of community to the residents on a spiritually significant day.
