The Lions Club of Colombo Ceylon Legends successfully carried out a community service project by donating sand and cement to Seela Nikethanaramaya Temple. This donation was made to support the construction of an almsgiving house, which will be used for providing alms to Buddhist Theros as well as visiting devotees and community members.
Purpose of the Project
The main objective of this project was to assist the temple in developing essential infrastructure that promotes religious harmony, spiritual well-being, and community welfare. The almsgiving hall will serve as a dedicated space for conducting almsgiving activities in a dignified and organized manner.

The club identified the material requirements of the temple and donated the necessary quantities of sand and cement to facilitate the construction work.
