Neth Setha - Lions Vision for Sight Hospital
The Lions Club attended and supported the first cataract surgery trial as part of its vision care initiative for elderly community members. For the initial group of 50 patients, the club provided complete food and transportation services to ensure their comfort, safety, and smooth participation in the surgical program.
Transportation was arranged to and from the hospital, and meals were provided before and after the procedures, reducing the burden on patients and their families. This support enabled elderly beneficiaries to access essential eye care services without financial or logistical difficulties.
This initiative marked an important milestone in the cataract surgery project and reflected the Lions Club’s strong commitment to restoring vision, promoting dignity, and improving the quality of life of senior citizens through compassionate service.
