Parallel to the admission of Grade 1 students, a meaningful tree planting initiative was organized, where each new student, together with their parents, planted a tree within the school premises. This project was designed to instill a sense of responsibility, environmental awareness, and long-term commitment among the children from the very beginning of their school journey.
Each student and their parents are responsible for the care and maintenance of the tree they planted, ensuring its healthy growth as the child progresses through school.
The Project Chairperson of this valuable initiative was Lion Chamath C. Jayalath.
