Essential items were distributed to affected families of recent floods. Affected people who were engaged in self employment were selected . As part of a humanitarian relief initiative, essential goods were distributed to affected families .The program aimed to provide immediate support to re-start their businesses & self employments. Relief packs containing dry rations & other daily essentials were provided. Such initiatives play a vital role in supporting vulnerable communities & helping them to recover from the impact of natural disasters.
The whole project was sponsored by LCIF Disaster Relief Program . District Governor Gaya Upasena PMJF , Cabinet Treasurer - Lion Upul Punchihewa , Region Chairperson ( Region 08 ) Lion Upul Jayasekara , Zone Chairperson ( Region 08/ Zone 01 ) Lion Asanga Kasthuriarachchi were graced the occasion.
