Description

The Lions Club of Udahamulla New Century successfully organized a stage drama as a fundraising initiative to support children affected by the recent cyclone in the Kandy area. The primary objective of this project was to provide essential stationery items to help these children continue their education without interruption. The total project cost amounted to LKR 600,000, while the event impressively raised LKR 1.2 million through ticket sales, donations, and sponsorships. From the funds raised, a sum of LKR 420,000 has already been allocated towards the purchase and distribution of stationery for the affected children. This initiative reflects the club’s strong commitment to community service and its dedication to uplifting vulnerable communities through meaningful and impactful projects.
