A Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized, with 60 donors voluntarily donating blood. On the same day, a series of community service activities were carried out. Five hundred (500) pepper plants were distributed to low-income families, and essential items were provided to 11 pregnant mothers. In addition, school supplies including writing books, stationery, and shoes were donated to 12 school students.
The program also included several professional and health services. These services comprised a legal consultation with a lawyer (8 benefeciaries), an individual consultation led by a psychologist (12 benefeciaries), land-related advice provided by a surveyor, and medical screenings for blood sugar and cholesterol conducted by doctors. Furthermore, free cataract surgeries were arranged for 10 beneficiaries.
The project was graced by the presence of Lions District 306 D7 2025/2026 District Governor Lion Gaya Upasena, Second Vice District Governor Lion Viduranga Maddumage, Cabinet Secretary Lion Mahanama, along with the Region Chairperson and Zone Chairperson.
As a gesture of appreciation, gifts were presented to service providers, including doctors, nurses, and the lawyer, as well as to the blood donors. Refreshments were provided to all blood donors, and lunch was arranged for approximately 100 individuals, including hospital staff and volunteers who supported the program.
