The Lions Club of Nugegoda Legacy organized an awareness program for pregnant mothers affected by Major Flooding in Gothatuwa Area, led by Senior Pathologist Jayamalee Rupasinghe Jayasinghe. The session highlighted essential maternal health practices, including proper nutrition, prenatal care, and early identification of potential complications. Special emphasis was placed on early childhood communication development and the importance of early detection of developmental delays. Mothers were educated on recognizing early signs and seeking timely professional support. The interactive program empowered participants with practical knowledge to ensure healthier pregnancies and improved child development outcomes, reinforcing the club’s commitment to maternal and child well-being.
