The Lions Club of Nugegoda Legacy carried out a self-employment project by supporting a small-scale car wash business in Nawala on 15th February 2026. Car care products worth Rs. 45,000 were donated to Mr. Premaratne to enhance his operations and attract more customers. The products were offered at 10% below market price, enabling competitive pricing and increased demand. As a result, the beneficiary now earns an estimated monthly profit of Rs. 10,000, improving his financial stability. This initiative reflects the club’s commitment to empowering individuals through sustainable livelihood support and promoting economic independence within the community.
