As part of the Lions Club of Nugegoda Legacy Children’s Day service project at Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children on 2 October 2026, educational and recreational games were donated to the activity and reading areas of Wards 07, 10 and 11. The donation included puzzles, Rubik’s cubes, chess and strategy games, board games and other structured learning activities. The items were selected to encourage problem-solving, concentration, hand-eye coordination, logical thinking, social interaction and positive recreational engagement among children during their hospital stay. As the games remain within the ward activity areas, the project will continue to benefit children admitted to these wards in the future.
